PACU/ PICC team

This past week in school we had 2 tests! Med/Surg I made a 82 and Pedi a 71. I'm still passing both classes so that's ok by me! Since I have this wonderful splint on my hand I haven't been able to do anything at clinicals, so instead I was in Day Surgery Pacu for 2 days this week. I got to watch a cicumcision of the most adorable little baby. I couldn't believe how fast it was! And after he shot the lidocaine in, he stopped crying. He was so good! And it was very interesting! On friday I got to follow the PICC team around. I got to see them put only 1 in, but it was very cool. I got to see the IV go through the vein into the heart. It curled up at first under the axillary, but after that she got it in just perfect! It was very cool! Now I'm even considering doing that! It would just be very awesome and you still have to use sterile technique, so I can be anal about that! haha=) So it was a good week after all! (Despite the fact that I locked the keys to the rental in my car wednesday.) I'm just ready for my bit of bad luck to be gone....
