On Monday we had our 3rd 1500 test which decided if we would get to go to clinicals or not. I made an 82! So I officially have a B in the class! We had our first clinical day yesterday. I will be going to a nursing home in PA instead of my hometown. That's ok though, I have an awesome clinical Instructor. It will be a great semester as far as clinicals go! I'm excited to start it all for real on Monday! Today I have my 3rd dosage test. So far I have an A in this class, so we will see how I do on this test. I still can't believe I'm in Nursing school! And I can't believe I'm actually doing well. Except Pharmacology. I just hope I do not have to be held back for stupid Pharm. We will see how the next test goes. I'm getting an NCLEX book and maybe that will help me.

Tired
So This week we checked-off on wound care and bandaging. I passed! It was our last check-off before we start clinicals on Tuesday. I'm excited! I can't wait to get into the hospital! Monday we have our 3rd 1500 test to determine who will stay in the program and who is failing. I know it's mean but I hope some people have to drop. The class is filled with people that are not taking the program seriously and I don't want those people in the class interrupting the teacher with their giggling, talking, and coming in late EVERY day. It is so destracting. So we will see how the test goes!=)

More Tests....
So I had my second Dosage Calculations test on Wednesday...made a 90!=) Had my 2nd 1500 test on Thursday...made a 75...not good. I need to improve big time! I have my 2nd Pharmacology test on Wednesday and I am sooo nervous about it. This one will be so much harder. We also have our Wound care check-off on Tuesday. I think I will do ok once i go to practice on monday. I will be working another all nighter on Saturday night. Those are always NOT fun. I can't wait till this semester is over and I will no longer have to do that. It will make me happy! On the 20th we have our 3rd 1500 test where we find out who has the grades to start clinicals on Tuesday. I'm pretty sure I will be ok unless I just bomb the 3rd test but I've done ok so far. I am proud of myself. I'm surviving nursing school so far. I still can't even believe I'm in! haha

Check-offs
So today was our NG Tube and Enema checkoffs. It went great! It helped that last week one of the RN's I work with showed me how to do the NG Tube and then when I worked last night I got to see a Fleet's enema done. I also got to feel my first impaction. I know, gross to everyone else, it was just kinda cool that the RN allowed me to try to get it out. Me just a lil old CNA. I am learning alot at the hospital. Even if I don't like doing the dirty work. At least I will be able to know what the CNA's are going through when I'm an LVN or an RN. I am still so excited about learning all of this stuff. I can't wait to be an LVN. Only about 10 more months! Yay!=) And it's almost Christmas! I just love Christmas!!!=)

Back to School....Again!
So we started back school again last Thursday the 25th. We had the check-offs that we missed during Gustov. I passed! Yay! It could have been that the teachers were completely distracted with talking about the storm...or I could have been great! haha. We also got our grades back from our Dosage Calculations test. I made a 98! I couldn't believe it! On a math test! Then Friday we had our first 1500 test. I made an 87!!! Heck yes! I was so excited if you can't tell! Then came monday where we had our first Pharmacology test. I made an 82 on that one!! Then on Friday we had our first 1304 test. I made an 80 on that one! So it looks like I might be a "B" student in nursing school which is just fine with me!=) So things are going good so far. Now we have another check off on Tuesday another Dosage test on Wednesday and another 1500 test on Thursday. So it looks like another busy busy week!
I now think I am coming down with a cold. I think my body is freakin out on me! I have been workin 16 hours on saturdays and then sleeping till 2 on Sundays then going to church that evening going to school on Monday and then work again monday night. I'm stressed out and don't have enough sleep. Last night I was sitting on the couch watching Grey's Anatomy on my computer, I got up to go to bed and my feet and legs felt funny. I looked down and my ankles and feet were swolen to softball size! It didn't feel very comfotable. I don't know whats wrong. It's not like I was standing on my feet all day. Then I wake up this morning and they are still swollen! And now I really do have to go stand on my feet for 16 hours. So what am i supposed to do about that? I don't really want to work this much anymore while I'm in school, but I have no choice. I will just have to do it. I just hope my body can handle it.......
